Starting in June 2026, Zeitfracht will take over direct deliveries to Austrian bookstores for Bonnier Publishing
Erfurt, April 3, 2026 – Starting June 1, 2026, Zeitfracht Medien GmbH (Zeitfracht Medien) will take over direct distribution to the Austrian book trade for the publishers of the German Bonnier Group. These include arsEdition, Carlsen, Gutkind, Münchner Verlagsgruppe, Piper, Thienemann, Ullstein, and Wimmelbuch Verlag.
This change is due to the strategic realignment of the distribution structure within the Bonnier Group and the discontinuation of the current distribution structure via Mohr Morawa as of May 31, 2026. In the future, books will be delivered directly to Austrian bookstores via Zeitfracht’s logistics center in Erfurt.
“We are pleased to be supporting Bonnier Publishers in supplying the Austrian book trade directly in the future,” says Thomas Raff, Managing Director of Zeitfracht Medien.
Zeitfracht has many years of experience in book logistics and operates one of the most efficient distribution networks for media products in Germany. The direct connection to the Austrian market makes it possible to streamline supply chains while responding flexibly to the needs of retailers. The delivery option for Austria is available to all publishers using the Zeitfracht/Kolibri 360 publishing distribution service. “The transition is taking place in close coordination with the publishers of the Bonnier Group. The goal is to ensure a smooth transition and to accommodate individual requirements as best as possible. We are doing everything we can to continue guaranteeing our partners in Austria a reliable and efficient supply of books in the future,” Raff added.
