KNV Zeitfracht shipments without plastic wrap

Stuttgart, October 14, 2019. In January 2020, Zeitfracht’s logistics division will overhaul its packaging strategy: it will completely eliminate plastic wrap from its shipments.
In doing so, Zeitfracht is also making an active contribution to reducing plastic waste.

All parcels leaving the Erfurt logistics center are currently still secured in the package with what is known as "shrink wrap". In future, the goods will be secured with other materials if necessary. "We support the initiative of some publishers to dispense with shrink-wrapping books," said Managing Director Thomas Raff. "We are delighted that we are now making our own contribution to reducing plastic waste."

“We have never used plastic wrap for shipments delivered in the book distributor’s standard tray,” said Raff. “We strongly encourage all clients of Zeitfracht’s book delivery service to opt for the standard tray when shipping their publishing distribution goods as well.”
