Kolibri360 Retailer Days 2026 in Erfurt: Bookstores Discuss AI and Product Assortments
Erfurt, April 2026– Under the theme “Inspiration, Exchange, and the Future for Your Bookstore,” Zeitfracht Medien hosted the Kolibri Retailer Days on April 18 and 19, 2026, at its logistics center in Erfurt. Numerous booksellers from Germany and Austria gathered to discuss current challenges and prospects in the book trade.
The focus was on key future trends in the book trade. Presentations on the practical application of artificial intelligence—including one by Caroline Wille (creative agency Bude22)—as well as on the role of bookstores as “third places,” discussed by Stephanie Lange (sales consulting & coaching), provided concrete insights for practical application. Open discussion sessions rounded out the program and fostered professional exchange.
“The discussions have shown that many bookstores face similar challenges, and that sharing ideas with one another is a key factor in developing solutions and exploring new avenues,” saidMatthias Sauer, Head of Sales for Non-Book & E-Commerce Fulfillment Services.
A highlight of the program was a guided tour of Zeitfracht Medien’s logistics facilities and its print-on-demand division. The tour highlighted the crucial role that efficient processes and flexible production capabilities play in ensuring product availability and timely delivery in the book trade.
The Kolibri Retailer Days are held annually and are part of the ongoing dialogue between Zeitfracht Medien and the book trade.
