Green Energy for Logistics: Kolibri360 Relys on Solar Power and Storage in Heeslingen

Heeslingen, December 2, 2025. Atits Heeslingen site in Lower Saxony, Kolibri360 is sending a strong signal in support of sustainable energy supply: A new photovoltaic system with a capacity of one megawatt peak (MWp) generates approximately 903 megawatt-hours (MWh) of renewable electricity annually, thereby significantly reducing the site’s carbon footprint. This makes the system one of the largest in operation in the region. Kolibri360 is collaborating on this project with the Munich-based “Energy-as-a-Service” company Enerkii, which specializes in the planning, installation, and operation of energy systems for businesses.

An integrated battery storage system also ensures that the solar power generated during the day can be used in the early evening hours—precisely when energy demand is particularly high. Thanks to this smart combination of photovoltaic and storage technology, Kolibri360 covers over 60 percent of its annual electricity needs at its Heeslingen site with its own green energy.

The facility is already equipped to meet future demands and can be expanded to a peak capacity of up to 1.5 megawatts in the future. In doing so, the company is laying the groundwork to sustainably support further growth and additional electrification initiatives at the site.

As the vehicle fleet transitions to electric mobility, on-site self-consumption will continue to rise, further increasing the system’s cost-effectiveness and savings potential. The partnership between Kolibri360 and Enerkii is set to be expanded to the Erfurt site in the future, where a logistics center is also in operation.
