Successful Buch&Co. annual conference in Erfurt / Artificial intelligence in the book trade - exciting topics for the future
Erfurt, July 2, 2024 - Artificial intelligence can also make daily business much easier for bookstores: This and other topics of the future provided participants with plenty to talk about at the annual meeting of the book trade cooperation Buch&Co., an association group of 450 independent booksellers in Germany and Austria.
The event in Erfurt offered the participating bookshops a platform for an intensive exchange of experiences, combined with a series of exciting presentations by inspiring speakers. The conference focused on current challenges facing the book industry as well as forward-looking topics. In addition to artificial intelligence, the focus was also on improving the customer experience in the book trade and the introduction of a progressive web app (PWA) in the bookstores' B2B store.
The participants were impressed by the quality and relevance of the event. Regine Kaiser from "Buchgalerie Hof" summed it up: "I went home motivated, determined and also smarter again." Stefanie Bertram-Kempf from "Buch am Bach" emphasized the variety of topics and particularly praised the presentations on AI, ECS store and best practice examples from colleagues.
Another part of the conference was the Q&A session with Zeitfracht Managing Director Thomas Raff, who reported on the developments and strategic direction of Zeitfracht Medien. The event also offered plenty of time for collegial exchange in the beautiful city of Erfurt and discussion about the new Catagory Management modules of the group, which has been headed by Stefanie Wittram since this spring. The content of the conference and the feedback from the participating bookshops underline the continuous growth and innovative strength of the Buch&Co. cooperation within Zeitfracht Medien GmbH.
